Tournaments

We do not solely focus on how many trophies our students can receive.  We believe that tournaments are for learning the "process" of training hard with focus, encouraging sportsmanship, and fostering international friendship and understanding.  Therefore, tournaments are a special occasion.  In 2015, U.S. Taido Association® hosted an international tournament in honor of the U.S. Taido Association’s® 40th anniversary. Three hundred U.S. Taido students participated, as well as two teams of  Japanese contenders. As part of its cultural exchange program, U.S. Taido has also taken groups of students to compete in international Taido tournaments in Japan and Finland, including the World Taido Tournament and the Friendship Tournament, where Team U.S.A. has been very successful.  We also conduct our own U.S. National championships each spring.
