Lead Instructors
Head Instructors Mitsuaki Uchida and Brendan Dumont are assisted by many lead instructors. The Taido school’s lead instructors are black belts who have all trained for at least 10+ years (Most have 15+ years training), and have competed and medaled in international competitions. Not only do they have the requisite experience and accomplishments, they have also been approved by U.S. Taido’s Founder, Uchida Kaicho, as designated lead instructors. Uchida Kaicho’s criteria for lead instructors is based on some of the afore mentioned experiences and achievements, as well as having a long standing commitment to helping the school train future black belts and showing exemplary leadership skills over many years.
